Sometimes friendship begins exactly where you feel the loneliest. 🐾

The little puppy has an unusual name: Cat. His mother named him that because cats are independent and self-reliant. But the dog named Cat feels anything but independent – above all, he feels alone.

That changes when he meets a man named Marder. A special bond develops between the two, and for Cat, a story of belonging, courage, and friendship begins.

"A Dog Named Cat" by Tomi Kontio and Elina Warsta is a modern Finnish fairy tale that delicately yet powerfully tells of life. Poetic, honest, bittersweet, and with fine humor, it touches on big themes without losing its lightness.

The first in a five-volume picture book series that touches children and adults alike.
